Gap Inc. and Gap Foundation value and respect your privacy. This privacy statement is to help you understand how we may collect, use and share personal on its website, http://www.bewhatspossible.com, and other webpages which we operate and in which we post a direct link to this policy.
What Personal Information Do We Receive?
Our website is designed to help you find nonprofit organizations, plan volunteer activities for your team, make donations to your favorite charities, share details of you and your team’s volunteer experiences and order volunteer t-shirts. If you choose to register for the site, interact with the site’s features and/or take advantage of the site’s many benefits , we may receive personally identifiable information, including: your contact information (including your name, email address, birth date, geographical location, the store you work at, employee ID and phone number); information about the volunteer organizations about which you care and your charitable goals; and details about the volunteer events in which you and your team participate (including the organizations’ names; the organizations’ causes; types of events and activities participated; the amount of time spent volunteering; with which Gap Inc. team members you volunteer; and any photographs, pictures, video or audio which either you or a teammate may share with us or post to the site).
  • Information Received When Your Make A Donation
    If you choose to make a gift-in-kind and/or monetary donation to a charity through the site, submit a request for product donation and/or submit your charitable donation (of time or money) to our matching programs, we may receive additional information about the specifics of your donation, including the name of the charity, date of the donation and donation amount; and details about reoccurring donations and/or payroll account deductions used as a charitable donation.
    We understand that charitable activities and donations are personal. If you wish make a donation or submit a donation for matching anonymously, you may do so by checking the box that allows your donation to be anonymous while submitting a donation.
    For your convenience, Gap Inc. and Gap Foundation may provide links to payment card processing companies who can process payment of a charitable donation. If you choose to use an online payment card processor, through this site, neither Gap Inc. nor Gap Foundation will receive your credit card information.   • Information Received When You Register Your Nonprofit Organization
    If you register your nonprofit organization through our site, we may receive information about your organization and its employees through site, including your organization’s address and contact information; contract information (such as email and phone numbers) and job titles for those persons affiliated with your organization, and your organization’s tax ID number.
  • Information Received When You Purchase Foundation Goods
    Our site may allow you to order Foundation t-shirts or other Foundation paraphernalia. If you order a Foundation item, we may receive details about your purchases and your billing information (including your shipping address and credit card information).
  • Information Shared From Other Users
    Our site is designed to allow users to connect and share information about their volunteer experiences. Accordingly, we may receive your personal information, such as a photograph or details about your volunteer experience from another user. How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We may use your information to:

Additionally, if you are an employee of Gap Inc. or one of Gap Inc.’s subsidiaries, we may use your information as required to abide by Gap. With Whom Will We Share Your Personal Information?
In order for us to assist you with your requests and enable you to take advantage of both Foundation’s many benefits as well as the site’s functionality, Gap Inc. and Gap Foundation may share your information with each other and with the group of affiliated Gap Inc. companies.
Our sites allow you to search for charitable activities, track your volunteer hours, organize and attend events as a team, make donations to charities of your choosing and request that a matching donation or gift be provided to a charity. In order to facilitate these activities, we may share your personal information with non-profits organizations and other Gap Inc. employees.
Additionally, both Gap Inc. and Gap Foundation contract with third party service providers to manage the site and our various corporate and philanthropic activities. Both Gap Inc. and Gap Foundation may share personal information with these service providers to the extent needed to deliver the site and services provided to Gap Inc. employees and the non-profit institutions that benefit from Gap Inc.’s and Gap Foundation’s activities. Third party service providers receiving personal information are expect to apply the same level of privacy protection as contained in this Privacy Policy, and they are required to keep confidential the personal information received from us and not use it for any purpose other than as originally intended.

Parts of our sites are designed to help you to learn about others’ volunteer experiences and share your volunteer questions and activities with other Gap Inc. employees, teams and the world. Any information that is disclosed in these forums becomes public information which could be read, collected or used by other users on a worldwide basis.
