We give you money to give. You make a difference in your community, and we’ll help you do even more. There are lots of perks to being a Gap Inc. employee. One of the biggest is that we give you money to give to the community through our matching programs.

Field Team Grant

For every 25 hours a store team of three or more employees volunteers with an eligible nonprofit that serves youth or women, the store can give a $250 grant to their partner nonprofit. Contact your District Manager to find out about your store’s team grant budget for the year. We invest in underserved youth and women because, based on our company assets, we believe that we are best positioned to make an impact in these cause areas. After you’ve worked here for a year, we’ll match your donations to eligible nonprofits, dollar for dollar. We’ll even provide a grant to eligible organization’s where you volunteer too.

Want to know how much community giving cash you have in the bank? Below are the total community funds from Gap Inc. you have to spend when you participate in matching programs. Match your giving to a cause or organization that’s meaningful to you, then choose one matching program or divide your funding between all of them –– it’s totally up to you:
• $1,000 for part-time employees
• $2,500 for full-time employees
• $5,000 for Directors to Vice Presidents
• $10,000 for Senior Vice Presidents and above

Remember, these programs operate with a “use it or lose it” system. You can’t carry your unused balance into the following year, so use it now!

We have a set amount of community giving cash in our account each quarter. If funds aren’t available to match your donation or volunteer hours in a certain quarter, check back the following quarter. You have 120 days to apply for the cash match from the time you give your donation or service. See your profile to find out how much funding is still available this quarter.

Donations

We’ll match donations of US $25 or more to eligible nonprofits. Go to Match Now to get your donation doubled online or to download the form.

Recurring Payroll Donation

Give to a nonprofit partner of your choice with each paycheck through our Recurring Payroll Donation program. Not only can you set aside as much as you want, we’ll double your donation up to your limit if you choose an eligible organization. Note: The Recurring Payroll Donation option is currently available only for US and Canada employees. The match is made when your total contributions reach US $25 or greater. Money For Time

For every 15 hours you volunteer with one eligible nonprofit in a calendar year, we’ll donate $150 to the partner nonprofit. To take part in this program, go to Match Now to report your 15 volunteer hours online or to download the Money for Time form.

Board Service

Serving on a nonprofit board? At Gap Inc., we contribute funding to eligible nonprofits where our employee leaders serve as board members. Senior Directors and above from our corporate locations and Regional Directors and above from our field locations can participate in this program.
